Meditation is nothing less than a means of transforming the mind.
Buddhist meditation practices are techniques that encourage and develop concentration, clarity, emotional positivity, and a calm seeing of the true nature of things.

Learn to meditate in Warwick and Leamington Spa
While many people get their first taste of meditation online or from an app, the best way to learn is directly from a teacher, and with others.
The Triratna Buddhist Community offers practical and clear meditation tuition. Anyone can learn, Buddhist or not, and our classes are open to all. Newcomers are taught from scratch and, for those already familiar with meditation, there are courses and classes designed to assist a regular practice and greater depth. |
Meditation techniques
The two main practices we teach are the Mindfulness of Breathing and the Metta Bhavana (cultivation of loving kindness), both practised widely across the Buddhist world and throughout the ages.
Like all such practices, they help us access our natural human potential, both for our own benefit and the benefit of others.

Forthcoming events:
Meditation classes in Warwick, Leamington Spa & Kenilworth
Drop-in meditation sessions
Most Thursdays, 7.30 to 9pm, Hill Close Gardens, CV34 6HF (before attending, please click the button below to check this event is running and to reserve your place).
These classes are suitable for beginners with no prior experience of meditation, as well as those with experience seeking to deepen their practice.
In these session we offer the opportunity to learn two fundamental meditation practices that help to develop clarity, positivity and peace of mind.
We will provide instruction for two 20-25 minute meditations each week, with a tea break and time for questions and discussion in between. In particular, we will focus on the Mindfulness of Breathing and the Metta Bhavana meditations.
Our aim is to provide a local situation in which people can meditate together, and explore Buddhism as a living spiritual tradition, within a friendly and active community of like-minded people. You don’t have to be a Buddhist to come to our classes. We welcome anyone who wants to come along to learn about meditation and Buddhism. Our teachers are all members of the Triratna Buddhist Community, and all have years of experience of committed personal practice of meditation and Buddhism.
There is no charge for our classes. However, so that we can manage numbers, we do ask that you reserve a place each week by clicking the button below. As we do have overheads to cover we also ask that you make a donation if you are able. We suggest £5 per class if you can afford it, but you are welcome to attend for free if this is more appropriate to your situation. Our bank details will be available on the night, or you can donate cash if you prefer.
We look forward to meeting you soon!
