Warwick Triratna is a local group founded in 2003 by the Birmingham Buddhist Centre.
Today we remain part of the Birmingham Buddhist Centre community, but are led by a strong and committed local team based in and around Warwick, Leamington and the wider Warwickshire area.
With weekly meetings held near Leamington (and occasionally online) plus a lively and diverse programme of community activity including film nights, shared meals and other social events, Warwick Triratna is committed to providing a safe and welcoming environment in which to learn about meditation and Buddhism and develop a personal practice.

Shraddhalila
I have been a committed Buddhist for over 12 years and in October 2025 experienced the joy of being ordained into the Triratna Buddhist Order. My name means "she whose faith brings ease". It's a daily reminder of my confidence in the Three Jewels (Buddha, Dharma, Sangha) and my desire to use my practice actively in the world to benefit others. I am a full-time working mum, who loves the outdoors and spending time with family and friends. |
Dharmamodana In 1995, I dropped in to the Croydon Buddhist centre for a meditation class and I haven't looked back since. Ordained in 2005 at Guhyaloka, Spain. I started supporting activities in Southampton in 2006. I moved to Leamington Spa in December 2025 specifically to support the Warwick Group I'm looking forward to getting to know Warwick and Leamington. The Warwick group is a great context for me to teach meditation and help people to understand Buddhism. My name means "he who rejoices in the Dharma". The Dharma being the teachings of the Buddha. |

I've been practicing Buddhism for around 15 years and it has had a transformative effect on my life. The group in Warwick has been an important support as this is where I first started meditating with others regularly and had the opportunity to learn about Buddhism. What I really value about the group is being able to make connections with other people and explore Buddhism in relation to what's important in our lives. |

Michael In 2005, I took part in an introduction to meditation at the Birmingham Buddhist Centre in Moseley. This was where my practice of meditation and mindfulness began and it has become a solid pillar in my life. Meditation has helped me through a diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis. I started to "love my fate" and, whilst challenging, it makes life so much easier. |

With an interest in Buddhism, I attended an introductory course with Warwick Triratna in 2016 - and somehow I never stopped coming! It gives me the opportunity to talk to other people with similar values about things that actually matter, and to spend time looking after myself on retreat. |
